Principal's Report September 11th

Principal’s Report

We welcome the start of spring and the warmer weather to come. I hope all of our Dad’s had a wonderful father’s day.

As we near the end of the term I want to give my sincere thanks for all of your support this term. I understand the challenges of home schooling, in particular for extended periods of time.  We need to see this lock down through so we can return to on site learning in term 4. The holidays are only 1 week away so please take time to relax and recharge.

It has been great to see the connection continuing between home and school during this remote learning including the use of Microsoft teams for our older students to stay connected with their friends. Seesaw is a wonderful platform for our students to connect with their teacher and to enjoy sharing learning activities together at this time. Thank you to all of our families who log in to support their children engage in their learning.

NDIS Information

  • Local Area Coordinator (LAC) – Call your child’s LAC, they can support you to conduct a change of circumstances review.
  • Flexible use of funding
  • ‘Families can use their NDIS plans flexibly to access support workers in their homes, particularly in instances where children with a disability can no longer attend education and other programs”.
  • Support workers- NDIS has provided an online resource to help people find suitable support workers
