At the end of winter some of our vegetables became ready for picking. In Kitchen Garden classes students were shown how to identify vegetables that were ready for harvest and learned how to harvest vegetables so as to not damage the plants. Students harvested peas, beetroot, spring onions, rainbow chard silver beet and choy sum. They learnt to carefully twist lemons so they could harvest them safely. Students also helped to wash the produce. Great work students!
When students return to school there will be lots more vegetables to pick and other jobs in the garden to do.
