Welcome to Term 4

Principal’s Report

It is with great pleasure that I welcome all of our students and staff back to face to face learning. We were all so excited to see the students return on Monday. Remote and flexible learning has provided many challenges and the students were so happy to be back into their routine and to see all of their friends. Returning to on-site learning for the remainder of the year will enable all students to finish the school year in a positive way.

This term we remain focused on the health and safety of all students and staff and have a range of measures in place including continuous cleaning throughout the entire school day.

The student transport buses continue with advanced cleaning and physical distancing from adults where practical. Students should practise hand hygiene before and after catching the bus.

We have a plan to make sure our school is a healthy and safe environment for students and staff. Essential actions are based around the COVID Safe principles.

  • Reinforcing COVID Safe behaviours, such as staying at home and getting tested when unwell, physical distancing and wearing masks
  • Creating COVID Safe spaces, including ensuring ventilation and regular cleaning
  • Promoting COVID Safe activities such as limiting visitors to the school, and reducing mixing between groups
  • Responding to COVID -19 risk

Based on the advice of the Acting Deputy Chief Health Officer, given the current levels of community transmission in Victoria, mandatory temperature testing is not required unless a student presents with any symptoms. We will follow the Department’s guidance on this action.

Please remember if your child has any symptoms of COVID-19 they must stay at home.

All staff were required to complete on-line training on how to work safely during COVID -19.
