Student Representative Council

What is Student Council?

The Student Council is a student-based organisation designed to help promote school spirit and leadership among students.

Council members will demonstrate leadership through their words and actions.

All Council members will participate in different activities which will serve the school community.

The purpose of student council is:

  1. To develop positive attitudes and to practice good citizenship.
  2. To promote harmonious relations throughout the entire school.
  3. To improve student/faculty relationships.
  4. To improve school morale and general welfare.
  5. To plan and execute special events or projects.

Springvale Park SRC (Student Representative Council work really hard throughout the year to achieve great results for all of our school community.

They encouraged students to voice their ideas and opinions to improve our school and student’ life. One of the results of their observation and communication was a need for shade sails to protect sitting areas on the multi-purpose playground and this idea is already a reality.

Once every Term SRC members organise a free BBQ lunch for all students and staff at our school. They do everything from counting how many sausages and bread we need to going shopping, cooking the sausages, packing them and delivering the lunch orders to classrooms.

SRC members also organise several special lunch order days and raise money for different charities of their choice.

At the end of the year the SRC support and run the “Return to school Disco” for ex-students and ex-staff from Noble Park SDS/ Springvale Park SDS. This is a whole school event and each year this is a highlight on our school calendar.
